Nike launched the On Air contest to give people a chance to create their very own Air Max design inspired by the cities they’re proud to call home. The Air Max 1 ‘On Air: Tokyo Maze’ sneaker . designed by Tokyo winner Yuta Takuman . was released in April 2019. Takuman’s monochromatic labyrinth leather upper and rainbow colored laces pay homage to the city’s intricate subway system. Below . the visible red Max Air unit is a nod to the iconic Tokyo Tower.
